A HAPPIER, SAFER, MORE FREE WORLD FOR ALL

1

Student Voice wasn't accurately being represented in parliaments across Australia.

As a student-based network, we strive to tackle the social, political and environmental issues of modern society by providing a platform for students to collectively take action.

The Student Voice Network was founded on the belief that youth have the power to change our planet! This platform now full of passionate, like minded students came to be after a few very important realisations...         -->

WHY WE

STARTED

2

Issues that were shown by the media and by our politicians to be so controvercial students were able to come to consensus of.

3

There was no other platform for students to tackle multiple issues from the front of 1 network.

SO HOW DO WE DO THIS?

We provide a platform to students who want to take action on some of the most vital issues that humanity has to offer. We also provide support and resources for local changes such as in schools and local communities.

We share resources, meet like minded people and come together for change!

Our Collectives

At the Student Voice Network, we have set up 6 distinct collectives for our members to operate and make a difference in.

  • Supported the World Vision's 40hour Back Pack Challenge members helping to collectively raise over $10,000

  • Participated in One Girl's Do It In A Dress Challenge raising $972 for girls education - That's 3 girls educated!

  • Participated in the For The Love Of The Reef Challenge with AYCC

  • Created an awesome leadership team

  • Founded relationships with AYCC, World Vision, 300 Blankets, Friends Of The Earth, Earth Echo International and more

  • Created an Advisory Council now filled with experienced professionals such as Mei-Lin Chen Yi Mei (City of Yarra Councillor), Charmaine Waduge (Senior Public Affairs at World Vision) and Peter Royce (From 300 Blankets)

  • We have created a School Data Bank so we can learn from each other - this is now available to every single member

  • We have grown from just 40 members to over double that with close to 100 members from 15 high schools and 4 universities nationally!

  • We held an in person meet and planning day to get ready for an action packed 2019 so we can keep extending our impact!

THIS LEADS TO THE QUESTION, WHAT WILL WE DO NEXT?
