SVN Team

SVN Team members are enthusiastic about supporting our SVN Project Architect’s bring projects and resources that make a difference to life. Team members commit to projects, not meetings and can balance their time by taking on as many or little projects as they like. This is a great entry way into the network to get to know the platform before taking on more responsibility.

Commitments

  • Come to our monthly National Meeting on the first Monday of every month at 6:30pm AEST (there will also be a back up meeting for those who can’t make it)

  • Join our discord server – this is how we share information

  • Join at least 1 project team

SVN Ambassadors

SVN Ambassadors are the people that forge our network by representing their school, university or organisation. Warning: this next sentence will say school a lot! This is a great role for those that want to bring SVN to their school, university or organisation, want to have access to resources from other schools, share resources from their own school or gain support from our network to establish their own projects or club at their school. SVN Ambassadors get their own ID badge and certificate for their participation within our network.

SVN Project Architects

SVN Project Architects are responsible for creating and leading SVN projects. They decide the issue, they decide the idea and it is their vision we help bring to life. Our Project Architects are responsible for curating a team, planning and scheduling meetings, creating a marketing and finance plan and essentially whatever it is that that will make their project a reality. Don’t worry though SVN, has lot’s of resources to support. We connect our Project Architect’s with team members, industry mentors, platforms to advertise like our socials, a place to hold meetings (our discord) and can amplify their project to tens of thousands of people! SVN Project Architects receive a certificate for their participation within our network.

Support Systems

Vibe Check System

Vibe Checks are a weekly program run by the Student Voice Network to keep in contact with and support, our amazing members! As a member (ambassador, team or project architect) you will be automatically assigned a vibe check-er. Vibe checker's are members of our exec team so they've been a part of SVN for a while and can help show you the ropes with tricks up their sleeve.

Your vibe checker will try to contact you one on one once a week over discord and through possibly 1 other method, to touch base and see how you're going :) The vibe check may be a call, text or more excitingly, part of our Monday games night as part of our projects and national meetings.

If you have any questions please feel free to email studentvoicenetwork@gmail.com or contact your vibe checker.

Request a mentor

Need help transforming that idea into a project or growing that project to reach your goals? Request a mentor through this button and it will help you set up a one on one call with one of our exec members or an industry professional relevant to your project.

Request an orientation call

Need a little help getting settled within the platform? Through this one on one call or arranged otherwise, one of our exec members will give you a tour of the platforms we use (discord and google drive) and answer any questions you might have about SVN.

Need a break?

SVN is a platform run for students, by students. That is why we understand when our members need a break. If you need a break because of exams, mental health, illness or any other reason just let us know and we’ll put you in our cool down zone for 2 weeks. If you need longer or have something you would like to discuss with us please reach out to your vibe checker or email studentvoicenetwork@gmail.com and we will be more than happy to accommodate.
